For 38 years, MRG Foundation has been the leading funder of grassroots groups organizing for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice in Oregon. We are excited to announce that we’ve received a three-year, $175,000 grant from Meyer Memorial Trust to support that work and expand our development and communications capacity!
MRG has ambitious community engagement and fundraising goals over the next three years. The Trust’s support will help us expand our reach, connect with a wider audience, and activate more progressive donors – all with a goal to significantly increase grantmaking in 2017!
“We greatly appreciate Meyer Memorial Trust’s confidence in our work and we are thrilled to partner with one of Oregon’s largest foundations,” says MRG Foundation Executive Director Sharon Gary-Smith. “MRG is excited to leverage this grant to strengthen our support of social justice work in Oregon!”
Meyer Memorial Trust is a leader among major foundations in funding grassroots groups, tracking which communities are benefiting from their grants, and looking at their funding with an eye toward equity.
