About the Position
Our ideal candidate is excited about raising money for social justice in Oregon; has experience in development, community organizing, and event planning; and is comfortable picking up the phone and making an ask.
The Grassroots Giving Director provides the strategic vision and leadership for MRG’s grassroots donor program (generally donors who annually give up to $1,000). Working most closely with MRG’s Executive Director, Major Giving Director, and Communications Director, the Grassroots Giving Director (GGD) inspires and engages staff, leadership, and volunteers to raise more than $100,000 in grassroots gifts each year and to significantly expand MRG’s donor base, particularly in communities of color.
This is a full-time (35 hours a week) position with some seasonal fluctuation of hours. Salaried/Exempt. Requires occasional weekends, frequent evenings, and some in-state travel. Reports to the Executive Director.
Salary and Benefits
$45,000 – $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Average 35 hour work week. Excellent medical and dental coverage. Generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
