Know a grassroots group in your community that’s organizing for justice? Are they looking for funding? Applications are available for our next General Fund grant cycle, where we’ll be awarding $225,000 to groups organizing for social justice anywhere in Oregon. Groups can apply to our General Fund for up to $20,000 for work on racial and economic justice, peace and the environment.
There are three different categories of grants, with different limits and requirements — you can learn more about our General Fund grants here.
Applications are due Friday, September 2, 2011 by 5 PM (or postmarked by that date). We’ll announce the grant awards in December, 2011.
Who Can Apply?
MRG Foundation funds grassroots groups with budgets under $500,000 who are working for social justice in Oregon. We do not fund individuals or work happening outside Oregon. Use our “Are We Eligible?” page to figure out if your group can apply. If you’re eligible, you can take the next step in applying for a grant.
Who is MRG?
MRG Foundation funds Oregon groups organizing for racial and economic justice, peace and to protect the environment. In 2010 we made over half a million dollars in grants to grassroots organizations. Since our founding in 1976, we have provided over $12 million in grants.
