In the wake of a Supreme Court decision that gutted the Voting Rights Act and a deeply concerning verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman for the killing of Trayvon Martin, MRG Foundation is hosting a community conversation to discuss:

  • What are the connections between these seemingly separate events?
  • Why should these setbacks in our quest for justice matter to Oregonians?
  • How do we channel our confusion, frustration, passion, and even anger into a broad movement for social change?

Join this community conversation with Dave Fidanque (ACLU Oregon), Eric Richardson (NAACP), and Sharon Gary-Smith (MRG Foundation).

For more information or to us know you’re coming by contacting Sheryl Sackman by email or 503-289-1517.

Thanks to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Eugene for hosting this important conversation. This event is free, all ages, and wheelchair accessible.
