A Critical Community Conversation

Funders, organizers, activists, and donors all have something at stake with the rise of White nationalism and white supremacy in Oregon. Social justice organizations are called to question our practices and how we unintentionally uphold or replicate systemic racism.  MRG has begun the process of moving from a Racial Justice Lens to applying Critical Race Theory as our central framework to forward Racial Justice.

Discussion of applied CRT and practice using theory as a tool, to identify and disrupt white supremacy.

What’s the purpose?  Bring people together and learn how others are addressing this issue,  build some common language, share CRT as a tool, practice the application of the tool, and that every person can speak from their own role — activist, donor, funder, organizer, etc. — about how to disrupt white supremacy.

Who should come? Donors, supporters, philanthropic partner, grantees, organizers, activists, anyone interested in creating a better landscape for social justice funding, advocacy, and activism.
