Volunteers are an essential part of the work we do at MRG. From hands on fundraising opportunities, to data entry, to being the first person to greet a supporter at an event — there are many key roles that volunteers can play behind the scenes and at the forefront of our work:
- At MRG Events: Helping with planning, set-up, take-down, and registration
- In the Office: Scanning and filing, data entry, join a mailing party
- In the Community: Table at workplace giving events, community events, and fairs
- Professional Services: We’re especially grateful for in-kind catering, graphic design, and photography
Some volunteers help out on a weekly or monthly basis and some prefer to join in when we have a big project or a mailing party. Whatever your availability is let us know your interests and skills and we will put you to work! For more information about volunteering, contact Jude Perez, Office Administrator, at [email protected] or 503-289-1517.
What Our Volunteers Say
“I love volunteering with MRG because my time, energy and money help so many groups do the important work that we all believe in.”
–Wendy Weaver
“I like helping out with registration at events, people are so relieved when they don’t have to wait in line for a long time. And, I am very proud to be connected to MRG as a volunteer. It is one of my goals to give back to the community and I like being able to help such a gallant organization advance social justice in my own backyard!”
