MRG's grassroots grantmaking is volunteer-powered. Leaders from community-based groups across the state volunteer their time to review and approve grant applications. Learn more about the grantmaking committees and their members below.

General Fund Grantmaking Committee

The General Fund grantmaking committee evaluate proposals for the two General Fund cycles a year, and this committee is responsible for the majority of our grassroots grantmaking, distributing $450,000 this year.

Critical Response/Travel Fund Grantmaking Committee members review proposals within days of receiving them. This fund has the fastest turnaround time of any of our grants thanks to them.
